While they look beautiful, many volcanoes are actually quite dangerous. They can spew volcanic ash thousands of feet into the air, threatening aircraft (particularly jet engines). Some volcanoes can even affect the environment, creating sulfuric acid and short-term climate change. Despite all of that, we've found 11 of our favorite volcanic eruptions that still look spectacular.
